Count Erwin Haldern is compelled to go to a Chanson-Evening organized by the singer Pauline, because his uncle invited him. It turns out not to be so big an imposition, because while there, Erwin gets to know Stine, Pauline's younger sister. It's love at first sight for both of them. Stine, however, does not belong to the "better" society. in which her performing sister navigates. She works in a florist shop ... but this isn't a problem for Erwin either.
