During the First World War, the Princess of Bormes welcomes wounded soldiers into her Parisian mansion and takes care of them. One day, Thomas, claiming to be a second lieutenant and the nephew of General de Fontenoy, offers to help. The Princess accepts his help, but the relatives of the heiress start to wonder about the true identity of the newcomer.

Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, la princesse de Bormes accueille dans son hôtel particulier parisien les soldats blessés et s'occupe d'eux pour les soigner. Un jour, Thomas, clamant être un sous-lieutenant et le neveu du général de Fontenoy, lui offre son aide. Celle-ci accepte mais les proches de l'héritière se posent des questions au sujet de la véritable identité du nouveau venu.
