A series of short films and featurettes from and about the Third Reich compiled into a collection:
1. EINZUG INS SUDETENLAND - (1938)
A collection of films assembled into one production concerning the occupation of the Sudetenland in 1938 after the betrayal of the Czechs by the western powers at Munich. If the contents of this film are taken at face value, it is no wonder the Czechs acted with extreme brutality against their German minority when the War ended. The filmmakers avoided no opportunity to show a very welcoming and enthusiastic populace greeting their new German overlords.
GERMAN INTERTITLES WITH SWITCHABLE ENGLISH SUBTITLES. APPROXIMATELY 46 MINUTES.
2. PARIS UNDER THE NAZI HEEL
Short, private film taken in the early days of the German occupation of Paris shows what life in the city looked like under the French's new masters.
MUSICAL SOUNDTRACK ONLY. APPROXIMATELY 3 MINUTES
3. DER ADLER MAGAZINE
Basically an on-air advertisement for the famous Luftwaffe magazine recording the accomplishments of Germany's airmen in the War.
IN GERMAN WITH NO SUBTITLES. APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES.
4. FROM SEVASTOPOL TO MONTE CASSINO
A rather strange title -- not invented by us -- for a collection of mostly Wochenschau clips relating to the military and political situation in Germany and Europe around the time of the attempted Bomb Plot against the Fuhrer (in fact, that is the opening piece), which is well after the siege of Sevastopol two years earlier.
IN GERMAN WITH NO SUBTITLES. APPROXIMATELY 47 MINUTES.
5. EXCERPTS OF ADOLF HITLER - PART III
Clips mainly from German and Italian newsreels covering, for the most part, Hitler's visits with foreign dignitaries. The German clips have hard encoded subtitles; the Italian clips have none.
IN GERMAN AND ITALIAN; THE GERMAN PARTS HAVE HARD-ENCODED ENGLISH SUBTITLES. APPROXIMATELY 42 MINUTES.
APPROXIMATELY 140 MINUTES TOTAL. VARIABLE QUALITY, BUT IT RANGES FROM POOR TO EXCELLENT FILM QUALITY.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SWITCHABLE (SOFT) SUBTITLES WILL NOT SHOW UP WHEN VIEWING THE SAMPLE BELOW. IF YOU SEE SUBTITLES, THEN THEY ARE HARD-ENCODED (meaning, they cannot be turned off when viewing the film):
