Die feierlich beschworene Freundschaft zwischen zwei Gymnasiasten wird auf die Probe gestellt, als Jahre später der eine – inzwischen ein berühmter Pianist – seine ehemalige Geliebte als Braut des anderen wiedertrifft.

The solemnly sworn friendship between two gymnasts is sorely tested when, years later, one of them --- who in the meantime has become a famous pianist --- meets his former love, who is now the bride of the other.
