The famous Italian actor Amedeo Nazzari's car breaks down in a small town and he's forced to spend the night at a local hotel. The owner's niece is infatuated with the actor and an argument breaks out between her and her boyfriend. To make things worse, she starts begging Nazzari to run away with her. Nazzari tries to get her to think about what she's proposing and then devises a strategem to make her understand the mistake she's about to make.

Il celebre attore Amedeo Nazzari è costretto a fermarsi in una cittadina a causa di un guasto alla macchina e a pernottare nel piccolo albergo locale. La nipote delle proprietarie si infatua del divo e litiga con il suo fidanzato, supplicando Nazzari di fuggire con lei. L'attore prima cerca di farla riflettere, poi escogita uno stratagemma per far comprendere alla ragazza lo sbaglio che sta per commettere.
