Der in Wien lebende, verarmte Graf Bobby erhält die Nachricht, dass sein Onkel Johann, genannt „Der blaue Jo“, in den USA verstorben ist. Gemeinsam mit seinem Freund Mucki reist er nach Arizona in die Stadt Devils Town, um dort das Erbe anzutreten. Erst dort erfahren die beiden, dass es sich bei dem Erbe um eine Goldmine handelt. Der schurkische Anwalt Doc Harper, der mit der Abwicklung der Verlassenschaft beauftragt wurde, versucht aber, sich die Goldmine unter den Nagel zu reißen. 

The impoverished Count Bobby of Vienna receives the news, that his Uncle Johann, known as “The blue Jo”, has died in the U.S.  Together with his friend Mucki, he travels to Devil’s Town, a city in Arizona, to claim his inheritance.  Only upon arrival do they discover that the inheritance is a gold mine.  The villainous lawyer Doc Harper, who was entrusted with the settlement of the estate, instead tries to steal the goldmine from the heirs.
