Der bayerische Bergbauernsohn Poldi ist Seemann geworden. Aus drei Urlaubswochen im elterlichen Haus wird eine endgültige Heimkehr - nicht ohne Zutun seiner Freundin, von deren Liaison mit seinem besten Freund er zunächst nichts weiß. Von Gram über die hieraus entstehenden Verwicklungen getrieben, unternimmt er eine gefährliche Bergtour. Der Freund rettet ihn aus der Wand, wenig später überläßt er ihm das Mädchen.

Poldi, the son of a Bavarian mountain peasant, has become a sailor. He is to get three weeks vacation and is going to spend his homecoming at the house of his parents. But he's unaware of the goings-on of his girlfriend, who's been in the company of his best friend lately; and they haven't been attending church services, if you know what I mean. Finally aware of what's been going on, he tries to drown his grief by going on a mountain climb. While climbing up the steep wall of said mountain, he gets in trouble. Best friend who betrayed him goes to save his life; grief-stricken hayseed lets friend have fickle girlfriend. The End.
