just watched it this week...... picture quality is very good... the acting is superb....held my attention from beginning to the exciting end.... g. w. pabst never made a better film....... an anti-war film that is as relevent today as when it was made in the thirties..... miners trapped below after an explosion.... will they survive or perish ???? only thru german and french teams working together... they finaly do and lives ae saved.... not destroyed thru predjudice and stupidly on both sides....
