Fünfter Teil der Mabuse-Reihe der 1960er Jahre: Der ehemalige Irrenhausdirektor Professor Polland ist Dr. Mabuse geworden und droht, Panik, Angst und Chaos zu verbreiten. Er bringt die Erfindung des Professor Laurenz an sich: ein Gerät, mit dem man anderen Menschen seinen Willen aufzwingen kann, und verlagert seinen Wirkungskreis nach England. Dort bereitet er mit Hilfe des Geräts die Übernahme der Regierung vor. Er begeht einen Postraub und entführt Prinzessin Diana und Nancy Masterson, die Tochter des Wissenschaftlers, der ein Gegengerät zu Laurenz' Erfindung gebaut hat.

The fifth part of the Mabuse series of the 1960s:  The former insane asylum professor Polland has become Dr. Mabuse and threatens to spread panic, fear and chaos.  And he introduces Professor Laurenz’ invention:  a machine that controls other people’s will; and he takes it and the action to England.  Once there, he prepares the machine to help take over the government.  He robs the post office and kidnaps Princess Diana and Nancy Masteron, the daughter of the scientist, who has built a device to counter Laurenz’ invention.
