Das Melodram zeigt uns den Verzicht der jungen Gräfin Manja auf ihre große Liebe zu Jaro, da Graf Walewski, der ihr Vater sein könnte, um sie anhält und ihr Ja-Wort erhält. Als dieser erschossen in seinem Hotelzimmer aufgefunden wird und Manja unter Mordverdacht gerät, rettet ihre Tochter ihr durch ihre Aussage das Leben und Jaro kann Manja in seine Arme schließen.

Melodrama about the young Countess Manja renouncing her love for Jaro, because Count Walewski, who may possibly be her father, proposes to her and gets her consent to marriage.  When the count is found shot in his hotel room and Manja is then suspected of murder, her daughter is able to save her life with her testimony and Jaro can once again hold Manja in his arms.

 

THERE IS A NEWSREEL ALONG WITH THE FILM, JUST AS GERMAN AUDIENCES MIGHT HAVE SEEN WHEN THE MOVIE WAS FIRST SHOWN (except this newsreel may not be contemporary to when the film was released).

·        Sharpness of picture?  - very unsharp film with snow and picture distortion.  Subjects very indistinct; especially when subjects are not close up in the frame
