Ein berühmter Kammersänger, der ständig von vielen Verehrerinnen bedrängt wird, lässt sie von einem Telefondienst abwimmeln. Dabei findet er die Stimme der Telefonistin so reizend, dass er sie unbedingt kennen lernen möchte. Um sie auf die Probe zu stellen, gibt er sich als sein Diener aus. Und stellt dabei fest, dass sie ihn wirklich liebt. Zur Vereinigung kommt es aber nicht ohne die Rache der Telefonistin für den kleinen Schwindel.

A famous opera singer, who is constantly being harassed by his many female admirers, uses a telephone service to get rid of them.  But he finds the voice of the telephone operator so lovely, that he absolutely wants to get to know her.  To put her to the test, he pretends to be a servant … and discovers, that she really does love him.  Their eventual reunion comes at a price, however, when the operator discovers his little swindle and decides to get her revenge.
