PRIVATE FILMS - OSTFRONT + BOMBING GERMANY- TARGET FOR TODAY

Two film DVD-R takes you right to the front lines of the War as seen from two different viewpoints:

FILM ONE:

Thirty one minutes of various private films taken on the Eastern Front from 1941 - 1943, some of it in color, show the war against the Soviet Union from the point of view of the German cameraman.  Overall, very good quality.  The films have no sound, but music has been added to the background as filler. A nice, supplemental work to our other, similar DVD:  PANZERJAGER NACH VORN!

FILM TWO:

Put out by the US War Department in 1944, this exhaustively detailed film about how the Eighth Air Force conducted its bombing war against Germany is an absolute must for any enthusiast on the subject.  In this 94 minute film, the bombings of Anklam, Marienburg, Gdynia and Danzig (Gdansk) are shown; but in addition to this are the exhaustively detailed topics of how it was planned; how the briefings were carried out; who determined weather patterns and how it affected operations; how the planes got into formation; how they flew to provide each other maximum protection; and so on.  If you have an interest in the operations of bomber command, you will certainly learn a lot.  Overall in very good quality; entertaining.

DVD-R IS IN ENGLISH.  APPROXIMATELY 124 MINUTES.
