 The film concerns the love intrigues of a noble girl in Czarist Russia, who is raised in the Smolny Institute and who wants to become a singer.  A value bracelet, which she loses while on a visit, becomes the trigger for defamatory accusations.  The Grand Duke rehabilitates the baroness and helps her launch into a great career.
