In Willi Forst’s remarkably self-reflexive comedy, the film director Richard Andern and the screenwriter Alfred Bolt are together on a trip on a luxury liner.  A number of women are interested in the director, who try to snare him through different strategies.  The singer Lola disguises herself as a loyal housewife; the scriptwriter Helga, on the other hand, pretends to have a criminal background.  With the help of her brother, who appears as a commissar, she enacts the plot of one of her rejected scripts.

In Willi Forsts bemerkenswert selbstreflexiver Komödie sind der Filmregisseur Richard Anden und der Drehbuchautor Alfred Bolt zusammen auf einem Luxusdampfer unterwegs. An dem Regisseur sind gleich mehrere Frauen interessiert, die ihn mit unterschiedlichen Strategien für sich einzunehmen versuchen. Die Sängerin Lola tarnt sich als treues Hausmütterchen, die Drehbuchautorin Helga dagegen täuscht einen kriminellen Hintergrund vor. Mithilfe ihres Bruders, der als Kommissar auftritt, inszeniert sie dabei den Plot eines von ihr verfassten und unlängst abgelehnten Skripts.
