Ein Musikfilm um einen Plattenstar, der sich als Schauspieler versucht: Das ist eine ganz verrückte Situation. Um ihrem Mann, dem Schlagersänger Udo, zu beweisen, daß sie eine große, ernstzunehmende Schauspielerin ist, verdingt sich Eva an eine Wanderbühne. Aber was ist das für ein Schmierentheater? Und alles kommt noch schlimmer, denn Udo gastiert mit seiner Show ausgerechnet in dem Ort, in dem die Wanderbühne der größten Pleite zusteuert. Daß alles noch zum guten Ende kommt, versteht sich… wie verschlungen aber die Wege zum Glück sind, soll nicht verraten werden.

A musical about a record star trying to become an actor:  That’s the completely nutty situation.  In order to prove to her husband, the hit singer Udo, that she can be a great actress, who’ll be taken seriously, Eva goes on tour with a traveling theatre group.  But what kind of farce is this?  It gets worse:  Udo ends up as a guest performer on a show in a town, where the traveling theatre is making a disastrous performance.  That everything will turn out OK in the end is, of course, to be expected … but we won’t betray the twisty road, which eventually leads to happiness.
