Of all the many kitschy Technicolor operetta-romance puff pastries with barrels of whipped cream and mountains of sugar that rolled off the reels in the 1950s and 60s, this may be the stickiest of all. Not exactly very historically accurate, but who cares when everyone and everything is oh-so very pretty......
