This DVD actually contains both color and black-and-white films (but the the last film is in color) and consists of three sections: 

1.  This part deals with life on the farms and estates of Germany during the 1930s, especially in those parts of the Reich, which were lost to Germany after the Second World War and annexed by Poland and Czechoslovakia.  In these films, the hard life of the German peasant is shown during the harvest season and presents an accurate picture of what it was like to live on a German agricultural estate in the "new Germany";

2.  This part shows rare private movies, as well as some of the censored, official films, which dealt with everyday life on both the home- and war fronts.  In contrast to the official newsreels put out by the government, these films show the uncensored truth about life in the Reich and in the war against its enemies and in some cases, it's clear why they were censored or buried away for hopeful oblivion;

3.  This film shows life in a military training camp near the Russian Front shortly after the begin of the Ostfeldzug.  It gives an accurate and clear picture of what it was like to be prepared for battle against the Soviets and what daily life was like behind the frontlines.
