For anyone interested in mountain warfare or the German mountain divisions in the Second World War or the like, this DVD is an absolute must. Perhaps a bit too detailed and pedantic for the casual historian or someone with no interest in this particular German unit, it is nonetheless interesting and you will learn a lot about how mountain campaigns are fought ... especially in southern Russia.

The second part of the DVD is about the German invasion of Crete in the Second World War. Detailed and comprehensive and shown mainly by use of archival footage.

DVD-R IS IN GERMAN WITH NO SUBTITLES

APPROXIMATELY 144 MINUTES.

QUALITY: DEPENDS ON THE SOURCE MATERIAL USED. FIRST PART OF THE FILM IS IN VHS TO VERY GOOD VHS QUALITY; SECOND PART IS MOSTLY VHS QUALITY. SLIGHT SOUND SYNCHRONIZATION PROBLEMS IN THE FIRST PART OF THE DVD, BUT NOTICEABLE ONLY IN THE INTERVIEWS.
