The events of the October Revolution of 1917, and the role of Lenin in organizing the rebellion of the Bolsheviks, is shown in this "historical" film, which Stalin demanded be rushed together in time for the 20th anniversary of their assumption of power. In Petrograd, there is unrest among the workers, who seem to have been left to their sad fate by the Provisional Government. Lenin secretly arrives at Petrograd rail station and is sneaked through a military cordon looking for him by a bodyguard - the worker Vasiliy. Soon, an underground meeting of the Central Committee of the Bolshevik Party begins, where an uprising is prepared.
