Die geschiedenen Stars Marina Garden und Peter Hansen treffen sich als Partner genau an dem Tag wieder, an dem Peter seine neue Freundin Kitty heiraten will. Doch da er seine Ex-Frau noch immer liebt, gelingt es ihm, die Trauung zu verschieben. Marina wiederum täuscht ihm vor, wieder verheiratet zu sein und engagiert für die Rolle des Ehemanns den Zimmerkellner Frank. Der aber ist eigentlich Komponist und hat sich wirklich in sie verliebt 

The divorced stars Marina Garden and Peter Hansen meet again on the very day that Peter is to marry his new girlfriend, Kitty.  But since he still loves his ex-wife, he succeeds in pushing off the day of the marriage.  Marina, for her part, pretends to already be married and enlists the help of a room waiter, Frank, to play the part of the husband.  Frank, however, is really a composer and is really in love with her.
