This is a love story which takes place in Vienna around the turn of the 19th into the 20th Century with ballet music by Joseph Bayer. A destitute couple wins the permission of a stern aunt to marry. Highlights of the film are a New Year's Eve celebration in Vienna's Sacher Hotel and one in a ballroom.
