Dr. Georg Rentmeiser, who works as a researcher on laughter, is spending his vacation in Salzburg. Because of currency restriction problems, he takes part in a "little border traffic" and travels every day to Austria. But he's only allowed to import a maximum of 10RM per month! When he's unable to pay his bill in a cafe, the maid Constance comes to his rescue and he immediately falls in love with her. It turns out that Constance is not the lowly maid he thinks, but rather the daughter of a rich nobleman, who writes theater pieces in his spare time. In order to come up with an idea for his latest piece, the nobleman has rented a castle, sent the on hand employees into vacation, and, together with his children, has taken on the rolls of the servants.

Never mind the very unlikely story, this is a charming romcom with lots of nice shots of Salzburg.
