Der verwitwete Besitzer eines Modehauses glaubt, dass es dem Geschäft dienlich ist, das Image eines Playboys zu pflegen, und so wirft er das Geld mit vollen Händen zum Fenster hinaus. Doch damit führt er seinen Laden nicht zum Erfolg, sondern in den Ruin. Nur seine treue Buchhalterin, die ihn heimlich liebt, rettet, was zu retten ist und baut ein neues Geschäft auf.

The widowed owner of a fashion salon, believes that cultivating the image of a playboy will help his business and so throws money around left and right.  But the new lifestyle does not help the business succeed.  On the contrary:  it quickly leads to its ruin.  Only his loyal bookkeeper, who secretly loves him, saves what’s left to save and helps him to build a new business.
