AIR ATTACK ON DRESDEN * with switchable English subtitles *

Documentary about the Anglo-American bombing of Dresden on 13-14 February 1945.

This DVD conveys the horror and suffering of the two days of carpet bombing levelled against the city and its people at the request of the Soviet military.  More people died in this two-day assault than at Hiroshima or Nagasaki; but the film concludes with a theme of hope, as the residents of the Florence-on-the-Elbe go about the slow and arduous task of rebuilding under the new regime in the East.

Excellent film and sound quality.

55 minutes long.

In German with switchable English subtitles.
