THE HISTORY OF THE SS LEIBSTANDARTE ADOLF HITLER
Film covers the history of the SS division Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler from its creation in 1933 to its end in 1945.  Most of the material in the film comes from excerpts from Die Deutsche Wochenschau.

The film quality varies depending on the film source (from poor to very good).  The film is in German with switchable English subitles.  De-logoing in upper left hand corner; intrusive.  Total duration:  115 minutes

JUNKER DER WAFFEN SS  (1943)
1943 documentary film put out in Nazi Germany was meant to provide a brief introduction to the public about the training of the Waffen SS and no doubt served as a means of recruiting new men into the service.

Unsharp, but watchable film quality.  The film is in German with switchable English subtitles.  Total duration:  15 minutes.

FINNISH VOLUNTEERS IN THE WAFFEN SS
This undated film shows Finnish volunteers from their taking the oath to join the Waffen SS to their march past before reviewing stands to inspections by senior officers.

For the most part, the film quality is outstandingly good.  The film has no dialogue; German military music plays in the background (including, appropriately enough, Der Marsch der finnischen Reiterei).  Total duration:  6 minutes.

TOTAL TIME:  136 MINUTES.

IN GERMAN WITH SWITCHABLE ENGLISH SUBTITLES.
