Auf einer Reise begegnet Egon Prinz von Valona, der gerade mit seiner Braut Eveline zerstritten ist, der hinreißenden Detektivin Yvette Baradow. Diese beginnt erst, sich für ihn zu interessieren, als sie in ihm den Hochstapler Carlo Moreno zu erkennen glaubt, dem er zum Verwechseln ähnlich sieht. Tatsächlich trifft wenig später Moreno auf den Prinzen, nimmt ihm seine Fahrkarte ab, setzt sich an seine Stelle und fährt zu seiner Braut Eveline, der er eine wertvolle Perlenkette abnehmen will. Der falsche Prinz und die echte Braut versöhnen sich und unternehmen eine gemeinsame Reise mit einer Yacht. Aber der echte Prinz ist ihnen auf den Fersen, stellt in einer wilden Jagd den Betrüger und findet wieder zu Eveline.

On a trip, Egon, the Prince of Valona, who most recently got into a fight with his bride, Eveline, meets the attractive detective Yvette Baradow. The detective starts showing interest in him, but only because he looks exactly like Carlo Moreno, an impostor by trade. In fact, only a short time later, Moreno will run into the Prince, steal his train ticket and cozy up to his bride, who has a pearl necklace he badly wants to relieve her of. The Phony Prince and the obviously Blind Bride will reconcile and take an excursion on a yacht. The real Prince, however, is fast on their heels --- no doubt with a new pair of glasses for his wife in his pocket -- and after a wild chase, he'll find his way back to his stupid bride.
