George Brown wants to marry the daughter of his lawyer.  On the morning after his bachelor party, he discovers to his horror that in his drunken stupor, he married the hot dancing girl Fay.  Soon, Fay’s well-built fiancée shows up and demands his bride back.  Getting into a fight, both men fall from their balcony into the channel below.  Now each believes, that he’s knocked off the other.  And both hide in George’s house, unaware the other is there.  When George discovers, that money and objects have been stolen from his dresser, he suspects Fay.
 
George Brown will eigentlich die Tochter seines Rechtsanwalts heiraten. Am Morgen nach dem Junggesellenabschied erfährt er zu seinem Entsetzen, dass er in der Nacht volltrunken das reizende Tanzgirl Fay geheiratet hat. Schon erscheint Fays kräftiger Verlobte und fordert seine Braut zurück. In einem Handgemenge stürzen beide Männer vom Balkon in den Kanal. Nun glaubt jeder, den anderen umgebracht zu haben. Beide verstecken sich unabhängig voneinander in Georges Haus. Als George entdeckt, dass Geld und Wertgegenstände aus seinem Wandtresor gestohlen wurden, hat er zunächst Fay in Verdacht.
