SHORT FILMS FROM AND ABOUT THE THIRD REICH - PART THREE

A series of short films and featurettes from and about the Third Reich compiled into a collection:
1. ALLES LEBEN IST KAMPF - 1937
This film is meant to justify the euthanasia program, which was currently in full swing in Germany against "incurable" mentally and physically handicapped people.  Using examples from nature and illuminating the costs involved with caring for these people, the film leaves an open-ended question for the viewer to consider what actions should be taken to rectify and improve upon the current system.  What final solution is intended is only hinted at; but for most people, it would probably be clear, even without the benefit of hindsight.

GERMAN INTERTITLES WITH OPTIONAL ENGLISH SUBTITLES.   MUSICAL BACKGROUND (Mahler and Vaughan-Williams).  APPROXIMATELY 25 MINUTES.

 2. ALLTAG AUF DEM REICHSSPORTFELD - 1941
Hitler Youth and girls from the Bund Deutscher Madel (BDM) perform a variety of gymnastic feats on athletic training grounds.

MUSIC SCORE ONLY  (Dvorak).   APPROXIMATELY 13 MINUTES
 3. ALT-BERLIN

IN GERMAN WITH HARD-ENCODED ENGLISH SUBTITLES. APPROXIMATELY 14 MINUTES.

7. ARBEITSMAIDEN IM KRIEGSHILFDIENST
Undated film shows the efforts of women in industry and armaments helping the country to reach the Final Victory  (guess we know how that worked out).
