Antonia ist die kecke Tochter des Grafen Scanagatti. Ihr Bruder Francesco möchte statt zum Militär lieber Musik studieren. Da verkleidet Antonia sich als Mann und geht an seiner Stelle auf die Militärakademie nach Wien. Eingeweiht ist nur Elisabeth, die Tochter des Kommandanten, für die Antonia heimlich Liebesbriefe an den Oberleutnant von Schreckenstein überbringt. Als ein neuer Oberleutnant das Kommando über Antonias Gruppe erhält, erkennt er, dass sie ein Mädchen ist und verliebt sich in sie. 

Antonia is the perky daughter of Count Scanagatti.  Her brother Francesco would rather study music than go into the military.  Antonia dresses up as a man and takes Francesco’s place at the military academy at Vienna.  The only one aware of what’s going on is Elisabeth, the daughter of the commandant, for whom Antonia is secretly smuggling love letter to a certain Oberleutnant von Schreckenstein.  When a new Oberleutnant takes over the command of Antonia’s unit, he recognizes that she is a girl and falls in love with her.

·        Sharpness of picture?  - some softness and indistinct features; especially when the subject matter is not close up.  A little washed out.  Overall, very good quality, however.

·        Other notable issues?  - sound is a little bit "muffled"
