Die Frau eines Gutsbesitzers hat ihrem Mann zwanzig Jahre lang verschwiegen, dass der Vater ihrer Tochter ein anderer Mann ist, mit dem sie noch kurz vor der Hochzeit zusammen war. Nun tritt dieser Mann, ein berühmter Konzertpianist, wieder in ihr Leben. Aber die Frau widersteht der Verlockung, wieder zu ihrem romantischen Liebhaber von einst zu gehen. Da sie ihren Mann liebt, bleibt sie bei ihm und bewahrt weiterhin ihr Geheimnis.

For twenty years, the wife of an estate owner has kept secret, that the father of their daughter is a man, with whom she had an affair shortly before marrying her current husband.  Now, this man, a famous concert pianist, has reappeared in her life.  But she resists the temptation to go back to her former lover.  And because she loves her husband, she stays with him and continues to protect that secret.  But it won’t be quite so simple as she thinks it’ll be.
