Josephine lives in her rich uncle’s house, where she must work as a servant doing the lowest jobs. One day, she tires of the humiliation and decided to take her life into her own hands. The singer Bianca Terry gets a job for Josephine as an employee in the fashion house “Milander”. But when the slightly arrogant Mr. Milander gets just a tad too close, Josephine tells him to take a long walk off a short pier. Milander feels humiliated, but his girlfriend Bianca is thrilled that he finally got his comeuppance. Unfortunately, this is in the days when “sexual harassment” was quite acceptable and Josephine now finds herself without a job … has self-respect; but can’t pay the rent. Luckily, Bianca helps her out financially and Josephine is able to open her own fashion salon. However, the money for the venture is coming from Milander’s account without him knowing about it and Josephine has no clue, who is generously supporting her venture.

Josefine lebt im Hause ihres reichen Onkels, wo sie wie eine Sklavin niederste Dienste verrichten muss. Eines Tages hat sie die Demütigungen satt und beschließt, ihr Leben selbst in die Hand zu nehmen. Die Sängerin Bianka Terry vermittelt Josefine einen Posten als kleine Angestellte in dem renommierten Modehaus Milander. Aber als der leicht arrogante Herr Milander ihr zu nahe kommt, erteilt Josefine ihm eine gehörige Abfuhr. Milander fühlt sich gedemütigt, seine Freundin Bianka indes freut es, dass er endlich einmal zurechtgewiesen wurde. Ihren Job ist Josefine trotzdem los. Doch Bianka greift ihr finanziell unter die Arme, damit sie ihr eigenes Modehaus eröffnen kann. Allerdings kommt das Geld von Milanders Konto, ohne dass er weiß, wohin es in Wahrheit fließt oder Josefine ahnt, wer sie da tatsächlich so großzügig unterstützt.
