2 CD SET: WWII GERMAN JAZZ FOR ENEMY LISTENERS (PART 2)

..

Officially condemned and loathed, swing and jazz music was readily used by he Germans to send their own little messages to the Allies and the residents of occupied Europe that Germany was going to win this round for global domination. From the mid-1930s until 1944, s number of orchestras took the popular hits of the day and after singing and playing the original work, then re-worded the lyrics to poke fun at the Allies, their friends and those who counted on Germany's eventual defeat.  Entertaining to listen to, you wouldn't even know anything was amiss until the new lyrics pop up ... which are rather amusing in themself.  Don't miss these two CDs with Dr. Goebbel's idea of pop music  (or our other set, under 2 CD SET: WWII GERMAN JAZZ FOR ENEMY LISTENERS (PART 1).
